How does VelaShape® work?

VelaShape® technology using the Vela Smooth handpiece combines infrared light, bi-polar radio frequency energy and vacuum, which cause deep heating of the fat cells, their surrounding connective tissue and the underlying dermal collagen fibers. This type of efficient heating and vacuum stimulates the growth of new and better collagen and elastin which results in localized reduction in skin laxity, body volume, and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture. Clinical studies have reported that cellulite was reduced for up to one year.

Treatments are performed every two weeks and take approximately 45 minutes. For best results, an initial series of 4 to 6 treatments is recommended followed by a maintenance treatment every 3 to 6 months.
