Brown/Age Spots

Laser brown spots can be performed on any part of the body. However, treatment cannot be done in areas of a tattoo, permanent make-up or a tan.

We can safely perform this procedure on Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to IV.

You must avoid tanning or use of self tanning products two weeks before treatment. Of note, Laser brown spots canNOT be performed on tanned skin. Additionally, one week before treatment, you may discontinue using any products that cause exfoliation of the skin (i.e. glycolic or lactic acid, retin-A, etc). Lastly, arrive at your appointment with clean skin.

In some cases, one treatment is sufficient. Depending on the size, color and depth of the dark spot, 2-3 treatments may be necessary.

Depending on the size and depth of the lesion as well as lifestyle factors, periodic maintenance treatments may be necessary. We also recommend the use of our PhytoFade Skin Lightener for maintenance and prevention.
