Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers can enhance your natural appearance.

Dermal fillers help diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. As we age, our face naturally loses fat. Consequently, the facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface. Therefore, smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent. In addition, the facial skin loses elasticity, causing the skin to sag. Thus, the face appears deflated.

What to expect during filler treatment?

PRE-TREATMENT CONSULTATION

Your initial treatment begins with a pre-treatment consultation. During this visit, our physician will review your aesthetic goals and develop personalized plan.

FILLER TREATMENT

Treatment begins by cleansing the area. A topical numbing cream may be applied if desired. In addition, filler products contain lidocaine, which can minimize discomfort during and after treatment. Our physician will then strategically inject a precise amount of filler into the treatment area until desired effects are achieved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Wrinkle fillers are gel-like substances that when carefully injected by a trained healthcare provider can soften lines, increase volume and correct facial asymmetry. Therefore, restoring a natural, youthful appearance.

  • Wrinkle fillers are not like botox. Botox decreases muscle movement to smooth lines. On the other hand, filler products reduces lines by adding volume.

  • Dermal fillers are most commonly used in the lower face to correct smile lines, marionette lines, downturning of mouth, and smoker lines. Additionally, fillers can plump and define lips, add volume to cheeks, define the jawline and replace lost volume to the temple region.

  • You will see noticeable improvement immediately. However, full effect can take several days.

  • As with all injectable treatments, there can be discomfort associated with the procedure. However, we have effective ways to manage this during treatment.

  • This will depend on the type of filler and the area injected. For example, in areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may last less. On the other hand, areas that have less movement such as the cheeks, will last longer. On average, fillers last about 6 months. However, some can last up to 2 years.

  • All injections are performed by our physician who is trained in facial anatomy.
